Steve Evans talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has confirmed that a new emergency loan signing is imminent.

Evans confirmed to www.themillers.co.uk that Bolton Wanderers striker Tom Eaves is expected to train with the Millers today and Friday, with the possibility of signing in time to travel to Walsall at the weekend.

Eaves is a prolific goalscorer and enjoyed loan periods at Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town last season.

Speaking to www.themillers.co.uk, Evans said: "Tom will train with us for a couple of days and subject to no last minute hitches, I would expect the formal documentation to be completed allowing the lad to be in the squad for the match at Walsall on Saturday.

"He is a striker who will compliment what we have, he is big, strong, quick and scores a goal. A number of clubs have asked about signing the lad so I am grateful to Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman for his personal input and support that will see Tom become a Miller."

Eaves will ease the current injury situation at New York Stadium, with a number of first-team players currently sidelined or still in the process of returning from injury.
