Captain out for Oldham visit...

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans confirms that his side will be without captain Craig Morgan for the visit of Oldham Athletic tomorrow after a knock he picked up against Sheffield United.

Morgan was involved in a collision with Matt Hill which saw the Millers skipper booked in the process, and it has proved significant enough to rule him out of the League One encounter.

“Morgs will be missing tomorrow, there’s no hiding it,” Evans told Millers Player. “He should be ok for Saturday week, but tomorrow will come a bit too soon after he twisted it and was kicked on the joint. There’s a little bit of swelling still in the ankle but other than that he should be fine.”

Meanwhile, Evans’ depleted squad is looking a little healthier with a number of players returning to training this week although the trip to Walsall next week is a more likely comeback date for several players.

“Mark Bradley trained yesterday and if he comes through today then he should be ok, likewise with David Worrall who has trained but is a week away from fitness. So we’re looking at next Saturday for Morgan, hopefully Worrall and hopefully O’Connor to be back.”
