Millers finalise Eaves signing

21 September 2013

Striker joins on loan...

Rotherham United have this morning finalised the emergency loan signing of Bolton Wanderers youngster Tom Eaves.

The deal, which will see Eaves join up with Steve Evans’ squad for today’s trip to Walsall has now received Football League clearance, allowing the striker to make his debut at Banks’s Stadium this afternoon.

“I’m delighted to be here,” Tom exclusively told Millers Player. “I’ve enjoyed it (training) and it’s nice to get a bit of sharpness back ahead of the weekend so I’m now just looking forward to hopefully getting some gametime against Walsall. It’s imperative that you’re playing first team football so I’ve now just got to give it my utmost.”

The big striker has had two previous loan spells away from Bolton, scoring 13 goals in 25 games at Bristol Rovers and Shrewsbury Town combined.

A full interview will be available with Tom on Millers Player later today.
