Gaffer pleased with late win...

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans was delighted with his side’s last-gasp victory after they overcame 10-man Oldham Athletic at New York Stadium.

Two goals from Daniel Nardiello, either side of a Lee Frecklington header ensured the Millers remained unbeaten and

“It had every emotion going,” Steve Evans told Millers Player. “These players are a great group and you can see the reaction when we get the third goal. They’re a pleasure to deal with and they worked hard because that was tough today. I knew it would be the toughest of the season and it was. Some things disappoint me, we went one in front, miss two sitters and Nards will talk as much about the one he missed as much as the ones he scored.”

Claude Davis continued at centre-half alongside the returning Kari Arnason but was carried off midway through the second period with what appears to be another blow to Evans’ side.

“Claude just felt his hamstring. I’ve seen a tractor need to get him off the pitch before so we’ll check him on Monday. We’ll monitor Craig Morgan day-by-day, we’re hoping David Worrall will get some game time this week as well. The main thing is we’ve got some proud guys in that dressing room and I’m proud to work with them.”
