Millers slip to narrow defeat...

Rotherham United were narrowly beaten by Leeds United in a behind closed doors reserve game in West Yorkshire.

After a steady start the Millers fell behind to their Championship opponents within the first half-hour. However, Rotherham enjoyed the lion’s share of possession for the remainder of the half, and with Assistant Manager Paul Raynor on the sideline almost managed to level through Tom Eaves who has managed 90 minutes on his return from a recent illness.

Strike-partner Matt Tubbs tried his luck from in his own half but in the end the Millers succumbed and a strike 15 minutes from time settled it for the Whites.

Michael O’Connor also managed more than 70 minutes in his first action following a groin injury.

Millers: Collin, Brindley, Mills, Rowe, Lucas, Walker, O’Connor, Tidser, Nardiello, Evans, Tubbs.
