Millers sign attacker Vuckic...

Rotherham United have completed the emergency loan signing of Haris Vuckic from Newcastle United, subject to Football League and Premier League clearance.

Vuckic, 21, becomes the second signing of the day for Steve Evans’ side and the second to have joined from Premier League Newcastle, following the capture of defender James Tavernier this morning.

“This is a fantastic signing and he is a player we look forward to working with,” Steve Evans told www.themillers.co.uk.

“He certainly adds a lot of quality to a very talented squad. We have signed three new players in a week; Nouha Dicko, James Tavernier and now Haris. I am again grateful to Alan Pardew and Newcastle United Football Club. The lad will train with us tomorrow and all being well will also be in contention to make his debut on Saturday.”

The Slovenian international has represented the Magpies on 17 occasions, netting once after beginning his career with Slovenian Prva League outfit NK Domzale and played a part in Cardiff City’s Championship campaign back in 2012 during a loan spell. He has also found the net four times in the Premier Under 21 league.

If clearance is received, Haris be eligible to make his debut for the Millers in the Sky Bet League One clash with Gillingham this Saturday.
