Evans team news ahead of Sky Blues trip...

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans says Alex Revell is doubtful for the Millers’ trip to Coventry City tomorrow evening.

Revell was withdrawn early in the second period after taking a knock, and rating him at 60-40 not to play suggests he’s likely to be making plans for a game without the man who has started all but one of the club’s league games this season.

“He’s got a knock on his calf and a back strain so he’s doubtful for tomorrow,” Evans told Millers Player. “I don’t expect to see the big fella in training but if he does it will be a big bonus but at the moment I’m 60-40 expecting him to be out. We do have options with Nouha (Dicko) and Tubbsy as well as Kieran who can play up there so it’s either one from three or two from three depending what we go for if he doesn’t make it.”

Mark Bradley has been missing since being withdrawn in the FA Cup victory over Bradford City but could be available for the weekend’s visit of Gillingham, with tomorrow’s game coming just too soon.

“Mark came back a couple of days too early so we’re looking at him coming into full training at the back end of the week and if he isn’t then we’d certainly not expect him to be missing for the FA Cup tie.”

Aside from Mitchell Rose who will miss the remainder of the season, the only other absentee is David Worrall who is working his way back to fitness with the emphasis now on building his strength, ready for a first-team environment.

“With David now it’s purely fitness,” Evans added. “He lost around 10-11lbs due to a virus when he was building his fitness back and now he’s got to put it back on and put it on the right way. Paul Warne has said a pound a day would be very good but it’s hard because he finds it hard as a finely-tuned athlete to put on a pound a day.”

A full interview with Steve is now available on Millers Player.
