Tony Stewart wants New York sellout...

Rotherham United Chairman Tony Stewart is urging supporters to snap up the remaining tickets for the FA Cup first round tie against Bradford City on Saturday.

The Millers host League One promotion-rivals Bradford in the first round of the competition, and will be looking for a repeat of last year’s entertaining five-goal victory over Stevenage.

Steve Evans’ men completed a league double over the Bantams last-time out with a dramatic 2-0 success at the Coral Windows Stadium proving a significant factor in the Famous Five games that sealed promotion at the end of the season, and the Chairman wants a victory this time out to kick-off a productive run in the FA Cup.

“I want to see New York Stadium packed to the rafters for what promises to be a fantastic cup tie,” Chairman Tony Stewart told www.themillers.co.uk. “We have had some thrilling games against Bradford City in recent years, not least the two victories last season. The common theme in all of these games has been the magnificent support of the Millers fans and it’s important that they turn out once again to back the team on Saturday.

“It’s an FA Cup tie, it’s a local derby, and it’s a game between two very talented teams who will both give 110% to make sure their name is in the hat for the second round of the competition. We have already had some memorable cup outings here at New York Stadium, with this year’s scalp of Sheffield Wednesday the most recent. Our aim is to create another piece of New York magic, but to do so we need you to give the lads another huge atmosphere that this special venue is becoming associated with.”
