The Millerettes cheerleaders have won the ‘Best Cheerleaders in Football League’ Award for the 2nd year in a row.
Each football season, every cheerleading team in the Football League are assessed four times on their cheerleading skills. The best cheerleading team is then chosen at the end of the season and awarded the ‘Best Cheerleaders in Football League’ trophy.Head of Community, Jamie Noble said “I would like to congratulate the Millerettes for winning the award for the second year in a row. It is a fantastic achievement!
“Both the club and the fans love to watch the Millerettes perform and we can’t wait to welcome them back at the start of next season, when we join League 1.”
The Millerettes’ cheerleaders are all members of the June Fletcher Dance Academy. June Fletcher said “The Millerettes have performed for the last three football seasons and have never missed a home match, no matter what the weather! The girls perform before kickoff and at half time at every Rotherham United home game.
“We are really proud of what we do and love doing it and we now have our first Rotherham United supporter who holds a season ticket!”
