Midfielder joins non-league side...

Rotherham United midfielder Mitchell Rose has joined Evo-Stik League outfit Stamford AFC on loan.

Rose, who has made four appearances for the Millers, most recently on December 18th in the 3-0 victory over Notts County, but with a return to fitness of David Noble, and the options ahead of him, game time has been limited.

Rose had a month with the Daniels earlier in the season, but postponements hampered the game time he received with the club; despite this they were impressed with the 18 year-old who has re-signed up until April 6th.

"We're hoping this will benefit the lad," said manager Steve Evans. "At his age he needs to be playing games, and unfortunately, the form of our midfielders has prevented this since Christmas. He is going to a good side who I know very well. It is a good level he is playing at and he came back last time a better player, something we hope will happen again. This move should prove beneficial to all three parties involved."

It comes in the week after Alec Denton joined Stocksbridge Park Steels for a month. Denton, scored his first Steels goal on Saturday, but couldn’t prevent a 5-1 defeat.
