England Women's players Jill Scott and Sophie Bradley paid some of Rotherham's primary schools a special visit.

Head of Community Jamie Noble recently welcomed England International players Jill Scott and Sophie Bradley to New York Stadium to announce tickets going on sale for the much awaited friendly against Canada on Sunday 7 April (KO 3pm).

The two International stars hot-footed it over to local schools Ferham and Thornhill Primary Schools where they were met with huge excitement amongst the school children.

The England players made a big impact on the youngsters by taking part in a coaching clinic and joining a school assembly for a question and answer session. The players are hoping the children will be inspired to come out to cheer them on when they meet the Olympic bronze medallists in what promises to be a thrilling match.

England star Jill Scott said: “We are really excited to be playing an International match at New York Stadium for the first time. It’s been great to come up to the stadium today, as well as meet some of the local school kids"

Jamie Noble added: "it was a fantastic day for all involved. The player s spent nearly 3 hours in the school answering questions, coaching some of the school football teams and then even managed to do some dancing!"
