Over the last 10 weeks, on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 8pm, RUCST have been running sports sessions with the young people at Wath Young People’s Centre.

The project has been a real success and over 20 young people have attended each session, learning a variety of sports skills.

On the last session the Trust brought along the blow-up football pitch and presented 15 footballs to the young people who attended most of the sessions.

A worker from the Early Intervention Team said “I would like to thank everyone involved with the project.

“The staff from Rotherham United Community Sports Trust made the sessions fun and enjoyable and was a real credit to their service. The young people cannot wait for the next one”

Cohesion Officer Mark Cummings said “The activities have been really well attended; our staff have been able to build great relationships with the young people from Wath.

“We will be trying hard to ensure that these activities continue.”
