Tony Stewart urges supporters to come down...
Rotherham United Chairman Tony Stewart is urging supporters to attend the Millers’ game against Huddersfield Town tomorrow, to watch the strongest squad the club have had 'by far'.
“This is a great opportunity to see the players before the action really gets underway,” Stewart told www.themillers.co.uk. “In my opinion this is by far the strongest Rotherham United squad we’ve had during my tenure at the club, and in fact one of the strongest I’ve known ever.
“There is an exciting nine months ahead of us as a football club, and one which we hope ends with us at the top end of SkyBet League One. As a result, we’re using these games at New York Stadium to test ourselves against real quality Championship opposition, as we believe this will prepare us for the teams we’re going to face in the league this season.
“Tomorrow gives us the chance to host a Yorkshire derby, and as you’ll read in my programme notes, just because it’s a pre-season friendly, don’t think that it will take any of the competitiveness out of the game. We have a wonderful stadium, a tremendous squad of players and management team who want to win every game they participate in, so pack your sun cream and come on down to get behind the lads.”

Matchday prices are in force after 12pm on the day of the game.
