Paul Raynor talks to www.themillers.co.uk...

The Rotherham United first-team squad reported in for a light session this morning ahead of their second tour game at Livingston tonight.

The Millers kicked off their tour of Scotland last night with a 0-0 draw with Greenock Morton in the sweltering Scottish heat, and head to Livingston tonight for a 7.30pm showdown.

In preparation for tonight’s encounter assistant manager Paul Raynor and fitness coach Paul Warne put the squad through a light session at their Scottish training base, after most of the first-team squad had some game time at Cappilow Park last night.

“The data we have got back is good,” Raynor told Millers Player.

“The players who we felt were a little behind are now certainly getting close, and the game time has been a benefit. The players have been working hard, they have been out for training every day, and this morning they are having a cool down ahead of the game this evening.

“It has just been a light session this morning, just to get the legs moving again. They will have some lunch and a little sleep this afternoon ready for the game tonight.

“At the moment it is all about game time and getting the fitness levels up to where we want them to be, that will change as we move forward and start the home friendlies.”

There is a full report plus much more from behind the scenes in Scotland on Millers Player now.
