New York opens its doors to the public...

Rotherham United will be throwing their doors open to the public tomorrow as the New York Stadium holds its first ever open day.

Fresh from a pre-season friendly against Championship club Huddersfield Town, Steve Evans’ Millers side will conduct an open training session on the pitch to kick off proceedings at 12pm amidst a flurry of fun activities for all ages.

Guided tours of the Millers’ home will be available throughout the day, giving you the chance to sit at your favourite player’s lucky peg, and the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust will have an inflatable pitch in the car park for more fun and games. There will be a funfair to enjoy, as well as displays from the fire brigade and police force.

Following the training session, the Millers players will be on hand to sign autographs and have pictures with supporters, and there will be whole host of stalls and stands to enjoy, including those selling special Millers merchandise.

Refreshments will be sold from kiosks in the KCM Recycling north stand, and a hot sandwich carvery will be available in the hospitality areas in the Eric Twigg Foods, Pukka Pies west stand.

Please note, due the events taking place around the ground, there will be very limited parking available at the stadium on the day which will be free on a first come first served basis. More information about the full programme of activities will be available soon. The event will run from 12pm until 3pm, and is free for everyone.
