Miller Bear took a trip down to St Ann’s Primary School to help the school launch its Better Reading Programme.

Miller Bear recently visited St Ann’s Primary School to help the school launch its Better Reading Programme, in conjunction with the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust.

Participation Officer James Cole commented “The pupils gave Miller Bear a great reception, and there seemed to be lots of interest from them about the reading initiative.”

The sessions form part of a new partnership between the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust and St Ann’s Primary School, which will also see some of the Trust’s community coaches visit the school to run some reading sessions with the pupils.

On the new partnership, James Cole added: “It’s great to be able to work with the staff and pupils at St Ann’s Primary School, hopefully this can be the start of a partnership that will really benefit the pupils. The sessions will give our coaches the chance to work with pupils to improve their reading skills, and hopefully this will really benefit them.”
