Steve Evans post Aldershot Town.
Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has blamed individual errors for the Millers’ FA Cup third round exit at the hands of Aldershot Town.
A Danny Hylton hat-trick was enough for the home side, in a game that saw both teams finish the game with 10 men. The Millers boss pin-pointed individual errors in the first two goals as the decisive factors.
“If you make bad individual errors you’ll get punished,” said Evans after the game. “Whether it’s a league club or a non-league club when Nardiello jumps out of a tackle and then for the second goal there’s two mistakes with Pringle not tracking a runner and Bradley getting the wrong side of his man. I think in the second-half we dominated the game.”
Kari Arnason was dismissed for the Millers during the second-half and the manager had no complaints about the decisive second yellow card.
“I think it’s a second yellow card, he’s caught the boy late. If I was the referee I would have sent him off. He kicked the ball off the Aldershot player and got booked for dissent for the first one through a bit of frustration but I’ve no complaints with the second.”
