Following the recent incident with a flare and other disorder involving some of our supporters at Burton Albion, Rotherham United would like to remind the small minority of supporters involved about their conduct at football matches.
The club wish to emphasise that the incidents at the above game triggered an FA investigation resulting in the club receiving an official warning. The club has been left in no doubt that any further disorder will result in a financial sanction being imposed on the club. Lighting flares is a breach of the ground regulations and is an arrestable offence and the club will work closely with the police to ensure that culprits are prosecuted.
We would appeal to supporters who witness this type of behaviour or who have any further information on the above game or in future to contact our anonymous text hotline on 07507449121 or email office@rotherhamunited.net and in doing so help uphold the good reputation of Rotherham United Football Club.
