Steve Evans pre-Rochdale...

Manager Steve Evans is yet to find out whether loan trio Nouha Dicko, James Tavernier and Haris Vuckic will be available for Saturday’s cup clash with Rochdale.

The Millers boss is awaiting confirmation from their respective clubs ahead of the weekend as the Millers aim to make it into the FA Cup third round for the second consecutive season.

Both Dicko and Tavernier made an instant impact since their arrival from Wigan and Newcastle respectively, whilst Vuckic also played a part in last weekends 4-1 demolition of Gillingham.

“We are still waiting to hear and the longer we wait I would say the more unlikely it is,” Evans told Millers Player earlier in the day.

“We never had James, Haris and Nouha the week before but we will have to wait and see. It is a difficult situation at Wigan at the moment with the change of manager, and we are waiting with Newcastle to give us a green or red light.”

It proved a frustrating day on the training ground for Evans with the blustery conditions meaning outdoor training was a non-starter.

“We didn’t train outdoors today, you can’t physically stand up never mind try and pass a ball,” he added.

“It will be the same for other clubs around the country so there should be no excuses, but we are not going to train outside when it is impossible to work.”

There is a full pre-match interview with Steve Evans, including an injury round-up, on Millers Player now.
