Youth workers required for Community Sports Trust...
Rotherham United Community Sports Trust is seeking someone who is passionate about youth work and engaging with young people.
The post will support our evening sports delivery titled under our United 4 Communities banner. The Youth Worker position will effectively engage with young people in community settings and encourage them to take part in our sport activities. The post will involve working as part of our Inclusion Team alongside our fully qualified sports coaches. A full UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Job Specification
Minimum Level 2 Youth Worker Qualified
Experience of engaging with diverse groups of young people including BME (black minority ethnic communities) and people with Disabilities
Ability to work evenings as in line with the post
A nationally recognised sports based qualification or a keen interest in sport
A good knowledge of how to engage with a range of young people and some knowledge of social inclusion would be beneficial
A knowledge of how to market activities to young people would also be advantageous
An element of training will be provided to support the post. Full uniform will also be supplied.
Salary/working Hours
9 hours per week split over 3 evenings
