Nards targets weekend return
12 August 2013
Hitman Daniel Nardiello is targeting next Saturday's trip to Crawley Town for his eagerly anticipated return to first-team action.
The former Barnsley striker has been dogged by a hamstring injury as the Millers have embarked on their League One adventure.
Speaking exclusively to www.themillers.co.uk, Nardiello revealed he is hoping to play some part in Steve Evans and Paul Raynor's return to the Broadfield Stadium since leaving for the Millers 16 months ago.
"The injury is getting there,” he admitted.
"I had a little setback last week but I'm looking to get back in training this week and travel to Crawley and maybe get on the bench."
The return of the Millers' leading scorer last season would bolster Evans' attacking options as they search for their first league victory of the season in West Sussex.
With the Millers strikeforce yet to hit the net in their three outings so far, Nardiello is keen to play his part in firing the club up the League One table.
"I want to play and score in every game," he added.
"My aim once back is to stay fully fit, get back in the team and score some goals."
