Our summer Masterclasses got underway in July with a camp at Outo Kumpu Sports Ground.
The children were given the opportunity to build their skills and learn more about the game as well as having the chance to play lots of competitive matches.On the final day, Millers first team player Mark Bradley attended to help coach the children and to give out prizes and medals which had been won throughout the week.
Mark said “It was great to see so many kids attend the Masterclass and there were some great skills on show. It’s always a pleasure to be involved with these community visits and see so many young fans.”
The last week in July saw our first of three camps running at Wickersley School and Sports College; with over 45 children attending we are hoping that the other 2 camps will prove a huge success.
The children at the camp received coaching in various aspects of football and were once again presented with gifts and medals on the final day by Rotherham United first team players; Scott Shearer and Adam Collin.
There are still three weeks of Masterclasses left to get your child/children involved. Dates and venues are as follows:
Monday 12th – Friday 16th August
Wickersley Comprehensive School
Monday 19th – Friday 23rd August
Camp A – Wath Comprehensive School
Camp B – Treeton Cricket Club
Tuesday 27th – Friday 30th August (both camps £10 per day or £30 for the week)
Camp A - Wickersley Comprehensive School
Camp B - Outo Kumpu Sports Ground (Bawtry Road) please note this is a girls only camp
*All camps are £10 per day or £40 for the week unless otherwise stated.*
All camps run from 10.00am – 3.00pm each day for children aged 5-14.
All children attending the Millers Masterclasses will receive a free child’s season ticket for Rotherham United Ladies for the 2013/14 season!
