World Cup qualifiers await for Millers pair...

Rotherham United will have two players on international duty in the coming weeks, with both Michael O’Connor and Kari Arnason being picked to represent their countries in the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.

O’Connor was an unused substitute for his country as they scored an historic 1-0 win over Russia last week thanks to Martin Patterson’s header, and with two games next month, he has a chance to add to his 10 caps. He is one of three players who currently play in League One to be selected in the squad, alongside Will Grigg of Brentford and Lee Hodson at MK Dons.

Meanwhile, Arnason will be looking to help his side take a giant leap towards the finals in Brazil as his nation face Switzerland in Bern, before a home game against Albania. Iceland currently sit third in Group E, one point behind Albania in the play-off position and five behind the Suisse.
