Volunteers for creative camp

3 April 2013

If you are over 65 and have experience in a number of creative fields, then the RUCST needs your help in delivering this summer's creative camp.

Let your imaginations run wild this summer with the RUCST’s creativity summer camps. The new project has been set up to give young people the chance to show off their creative side.

Participants will have the opportunity to write their own unique stories, modelling and building their own ideas, as well as sewing and drawing. And all of these activities will be taught by the older adults of Rotherham who have vast experience in those particular interests.

But we need volunteers to fill those experienced teaching roles. If you are over 65 and have drawing, sewing and modelling skills, or even have some interesting stories to tell to the young participants, then why volunteer with the Community Sports Trust this summer?
The summer course will take place in the last two weeks of August, but this may change. Volunteers can come along for a day or two during the course, or they can drop in for the whole two weeks if they wish.

Having worked with older people through the programmes in our Heritage and Health themes, we understand the vast wealth of knowledge and experience they have to educate the younger generation of Rotherham
