NYS recognised for international award

Millers stadium gets nomination...

Rotherham United’s New York Stadium has become the envy of football supporters across the country and has recently received recognition which has seen it nominated for an international award.

The Millers’ impressive new home has caught the attention of The Stadium Business Awards who run an annual competition that honours the most notable venues across a number of different categories.

The competition, which is run in association with The Stadium Business Summit, is in its fourth year of existence and has seen prestigious venues such as The Staples Center and Wembley Stadium collect awards in previous competitions.

Rotherham United’s 12,021 all-seater stadium has been nominated to compete in the Small Venue of the Year Award category and will face competition from Russia, Isreal and Austria, as well as two venues in the United Kingdom.

- Adler-Arena Skating Center, Sochi, Russia
- New York Stadium, Rotherham, UK
- Netanya Municipal Stadium, Netanya, Israel
- Allianz Park, London, UK
- NV Arena (SKN St Pölten FC), Austria
- Gallagher Stadium (Maidstone United FC), UK
