Memories of Football rounding off

5 April 2013

On Monday 8th April, the Memories of Football sessions will come to a close, bringing the Mature Millers Association to the forefront.

The Memories of Football project, sponsored by RMBC Community Learning, is finally rounding off on Monday 8th April at the New York stadium.

During the latest series of Memories of Football sessions, the Trust added an IT element to the project to give the older adults a chance to develop their computer skills, which proved to be a massive hit with all the participants.

The project has managed to match the success of the workshops that were put on last year. Participants really took to the new activities in the latest sessions, and the Trust hopes that the participants achieved everything they wanted to in the project.

However, the Trust is now running the Mature Millers association, which is made up of older adults in the community. The association looks to enrich the social and emotion health of over the 50 population within Rotherham.

The Mature Millers Association currently meets on Monday mornings at the New York stadium and on Monday afternoons at Birch Park Court residential housing area in Rotherham.

So, if you’re already missing the Memories of Football sessions then why not sign up to the Mature Millers association today. Contact Kathryn Wild on:
