Rotherham United Futsal squads finally got back in action after a 3 week absence.Rotherham ‘A’ 6 v 1 Accrington ‘A’
On 24th April Rotherham United ‘A’ team left with a 6-1 victory against Accrington ‘A’ team after a hat-trick from Brad Blamires.
The Millers were dominant throughout the game with the first goal scored by Hussein Salem with a powerful free kick into the top right corner. Blamires then scored the first of his three goals with a well taken finish across the goal keeper.
Rotherham extended their lead with a great strike from Joe Briggs, who calmly finished from 10 yards out. Blamires then grabbed his second and third of the game, completing his hat-trick with an amazing finish around the defender and the goal keeper.
Salem then rounded off Rotherham’s victory with another drilling free-kick. However Accrington did eventually manage to get on the score board, finishing the game at 6-1.
Rotherham ‘B’ 1 v 2 ‘B’ Huddersfield
Rotherham’s B Team suffers different fate from the A Team with them losing 2-1 after a last minute Huddersfield goal.
However it was Rotherham’s Luke Easton who scored the first goal just after he had come off the bench. Huddersfield then quickly brought the scores back level with a great counter attack which left Rotherham keeper Dan Hoades static.
Huddersfield’s come back was complete when a last minute strike sneaked under the tired legs of Hoades which left the Rotherham players heartbroken.
