After last Saturday’s reverse at Port Vale, goalkeeper Scott Shearer is determined to put things right at New York Stadium against Torquay United on Saturday.

Speaking to www.themillers.co.uk, Shearer said: “It was massively frustrating last week.  We got shown up a bit and we want to put it right.”

Shearer is expecting another tough test from a side who are unbeaten so far this season, but feels that being back at home could be an important factor on Saturday.

“They have been up there or there abouts for the last couple of seasons so they’re going to be a good team.”

“But we’re at home so we’ll have to take the game to them as we have done in the two home games previously.”

The Scotsman says it is difficult to say why there has been a contrast in the Millers’ home and away results.

“Apart from Port Vale, we’ve been the better team in the other away games but maybe we’ve been too offensive as we’ve been hit on the counter attack a lot.”

With two home games on the trot this week, there is a chance to get some real momentum going ahead of next Saturday’s visit to Barnet.
