Assistant manager pleased with result...

Rotherham United’s assistant manager Paul Raynor was left delighted with the Millers’ victory over Torquay United, despite the absence of manager Steve Evans.

The Millers, without Evans for the first of six games, dominated against their Devon opponents and will feel aggrieved only, that they didn’t score more.

“It’s three massive points. It’s been a tough week in the circumstances that have been well documented, and on top of Saturday’s disappointing performance, but it’s a big result for the players and a massive result for the gaffer.”

“We had our chances but for me, after Saturday and conceding so many goals at Port Vale it was important we kept a clean sheet, and I’m pleased for Scott Shearer, and delighted for the back four, some of who have had next to no football.”

Raynor’s full interview is available here.
