Steve Evans adds Craig Morgan to his squad after sealing a transfer this morning...

Steve Evans has this morning added to his first team squad with the capture of Welsh International defender, Craig Morgan.

Morgan, an experienced operator at International and Championship level, joins the Millers on a deal until the end of January.

The defender, who has been deployed as full-back and central defender, was a major part of the Peterborough United side that won back-to-back promotions from League Two, and cost Preston £400,000 in June 2010

Speaking to www.themillers.co.uk Steve said: ''Craig Morgan is a player who I have watched often during the last few years and he is a top class performer.

''The lad is comfortable in central defence and at left back, something I have been looking at for several weeks. At Peterborough United he was simply outstanding and a reason why Darren Ferguson got Preston North End to pay £400,000 for.

''He is very comfortable on the ball and is a real competitor. Our squad is taking shape very nicely and competition for a places is getting to a level where we need it to be.''

Morgan will be included in the squad for the JP Trophy match with York City at the New York Stadium tomorrow night.

There will be a full interview with Craig Morgan on the official website later today...
