Den and Warney ready for charity run...
Paul Warne and Denis Circuit are running the TenTenTen in Endcliffe Park to raise money for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Warney and Den have been training hard to make sure they’re in optimum fitness for their 10k run, which takes place on Sunday 23rd September. The run will comprise of two laps of a scenic course in Endcliffe and Bingham Parks, and they’re hoping Millers fans will show their generosity by sponsoring them for a great cause.
“The training has been going well,” Warney told Millers Player. “We were in training last week and we were doing well, eight-minute mile pace, looking good. Waving, shaking hands with young children, patting dogs whilst running, chewing the fat – then, Den took a tumble.
“There was lots of blood,” added Den. “I could’ve fell anywhere, but it just so happened I waited until we were right outside the café where there were people sat out with kids and dogs, having tea and cake, and there’s me horizontal, bleeding.”
Warney has also managed to set up a Just Giving page so that fans can donate to their run.
“Every penny you can donate to sponsor us would be massively appreciated,” said Warney. “It’s a fantastic cause and the work they do at the Children’s Hospital is just incredible. When you donate, don’t forgot to leave us a good look message and your predictions for how many hours it’s going to take Den to finish the 10k.”
