Gaffer delighted with home win...

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans was delighted with his sides’ performance as they picked up a 4-0 victory over Bradford City.

Michael O’Connor opened the scoring in the first minute before a Gareth Evans brace either side of Ben Pringle’s effort sealed the points for the Millers who kept their 100% record at New York Stadium in tact.

“It was an outstanding performance,” Evans told Millers Player. “I was brave with the team selection, made a couple of changes that we’ve been waiting to make and fortunately it worked. Both sets of players put in a workmanlike performance and when they do that, it comes down to ability. We’ve won 4-0 and on another day it’s many more.”

As well as praising the quality of his side’s goals, Evans reserved special recognition for the Millers supporters who made up the crowd over 11,000 for the second home game in succession.

“This is against a big team who have got a lot of good players, and what an atmosphere. I said that after Burton that if people want to know why we came here, today is a further demonstration. This is going to be like it all season, New York Stadium is going to be rocking, and the winners tonight are the team, the supporters and the chairman who has put all this together.”
