Steve Evans talks to

Boss Steve Evans confirmed this morning that he was disappointed to fail in a bid to sign MK Dons striker Ryan Lowe on an emergency loan deal.

Evans revealed at his weekly press conference that a deal was in place to take the former Bury and Sheffield Wednesday marksman but the player wanted to stay and fight for his place at Stadium:MK.

“We are disappointed not to sign Ryan but I am grateful to Karl Robinson and MK Dons for being helpful in putting the deal together,” said Evans.

“Everything was agreed between the two clubs for a loan deal but the player made it clear that he wanted to stay in League One and fight for a first team place with MK Dons.”

Evans is preparing his team for a trip to Aldershot Town this weekend, where he returns to the dugout for the first time since his stadium ban.
