Rotherham United Community Sports Trust launched its brand new group at New York Stadium today

Rotherham United Community Sports Trust launched its brand new group at New York Stadium today. The Extra Time: Memories of Football Group is aimed at men over the age of 50 and involves football discussion, exercise and healthy eating. Today’s topics were the England v San Marino match, Rotherham United’s match against Southend, the greatest all time Rotherham United team, favourite managers and games. While former players that played in the 1961 League Cup Final attended the session.

Next week the discussion topics will focus on the pre war, war and post war period at Rotherham United, which was a period that saw some of Rotherham United’s best ever players in Walter Ardron, Danny Williams, Gladstone Guest, Jack Grainger, Jack Shaw and the management of the great Reg Freeman.

The Extra Time: Memories of Football session runs at the New York Stadium on Monndays 10-12 until the 17th December.
