Millers lose loanee...

Rotherham United will be without Bob Harris for the home game against Plymouth Argyle this Saturday, after the Millers were unable to extend his loan.

Harris initially signed a one month emergency loan deal with a view to extending it, but circumstances at Blackpool have dictated that the Seasiders wanted him to return to the club.

“Bob’s 28 day loan has now expired,” said Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas. “The plan was to extend his stay with the Millers, but unfortunately Blackpool have requested that he returns to the club, and we’ve been unable to keep him any longer.

“Bob has been an excellent temporary acquisition and I’m sure the reports that Blackpool receive back from Steve will be very positive. The supporters here warmed to him and it’s clear why, as he has plenty of ability and a big future in the game.”

Harris represented the Millers five times during his loan spell, scoring from a free-kick in the 3-0 victory at Aldeshot.

Meanwhile, fellow left back Laurence Wilson completed 90 minutes for the reserves in their draw at the Banks’s Stadium against Walsall in midweek.
