Steve Evans talks to Millers Player...

Steve Evans has said he would like to extend the loan deal of left-back Bob Harris.

The Scotsman signed on a one-month emergency loan from Championship side Blackpool, and boss Evans has been impressed with his first two outings against Oxford United and York City.

The deal has a couple of weeks to run but Evans admitted he would like to keep the former Queen of the South player longer.

“The first person I need to speak to is Bob and I think he is keen to stay,” Evans told Millers Player.

“I obviously have to speak with Ian Holloway but he is a good man, he likes the idea that Bob is getting some football and he knows that if he needs him he will recall him.

“We’d like to keep Bob, but there are still a couple of weeks of football to go yet.”

Harris was part of the back four which kept a clean sheet against York last weekend. The Millers entertain Southend United tomorrow at New York Stadium knowing a win could take them into the play-off positions.
