The Millers will be looking to make ground on the promotion places after the postponement on Tuesday, with York just a point behind the Millers in 14th position.

“I have taken teams to York in the past when we have struggled to take 60 supporters, so to take 1,600 is magnificent and I know they’ll make plenty of noise, let’s hope the performance does the fans justice because that is important.”

“Our fans have been terrific and I know that the 1,600 will make some noise as always,” Evans told Millers Player this morning.

The experience hasn’t deterred the supporters with a near 1,600 allocation in the away end at York City on Saturday selling out completely late on Wednesday afternoon.

Several hundred Millers supporters braved the inclement conditions at Accrington on Tuesday night, with a deluge 30 minutes before kick-off forcing the referee to postpone the fixture.
