Steve Evans talks to Millers Player.

Boss Steve Evans has dispelled any rumours of an injury to Kari Arnason by revealing he is set to start this weekend’s game at Aldershot.

Arnason has been on international duty with Iceland this week but reported into the Millers training base at Parkgate this morning, leading Evans to confirm that he is fit and well and is set for a return this weekend.

“Someone in the local media rang me and said that someone had called the phone-in and said he was out for six weeks,” Evans told Millers Player.

“I had spoken to Arnie just 10 minutes previously and he was saying that he was looking forward to playing against Switzerland in front of a full house. He plays, don’t worry about that, he plays.”

Evans can also call upon the services of Alex Revell who returns to the squad after a three match ban for his sending off at Barnet, and Evans admitted the striker has been working hard in training in a bid for a starting berth.

“He (Revell) took his goal in mid-week very well after a great ball by Lionel Ainsworth,” said Evans.

“We know what Alex Revell can give to the team, he missed the earlier matches but when he came in he did great and got a couple of goals.

“The big fella has worked really hard over the last couple of weeks and he’s the real professional that we know Revs is.”
