Winger returns to parent club...

Millers loanee Jamie Devitt has returned to Hull City to receive treatment, following a hamstring injury picked up in the 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town.

The young winger, who signed a one month loan deal last week, was playing in just his second Rotherham United game when he pulled up prior to the break, before being replaced by Gareth Evans at half time.

“Young Jamie Devitt who has gone back to Hull has got a hamstring strain,” said manager Steve Evans. “He’s looking at three or four weeks. We’re going to have a chat with Steve Bruce because his loan deal was due to end after the loan window closed, so we’ll see if we can put anything in place to cover that when we know next week the extent of that. It could be five or six, or it could end up two or three weeks, it takes a while to realise with a hamstring.”

Evans will be forced to make at least one change to his team on Saturday with the absence of Devitt, and the knock Kari Arnason received in the week could also rule him out of the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
