Millers boss disappointed with goals conceded...

Rotherham United boss Steve Evans described his side’s performance as disjointed after seeing them twice go in front, only to lose to bottom of the table Wycombe Wanderers.

The Millers took the lead after just 17 seconds when Daniel Nardiello finished from close range, but despite leading 2-1 at the break, it wasn’t enough as the visitors came from behind to take all three points.

“The performance was disjointed, and it wasn’t good enough after we made a perfect start,” said Evans. “We gave away a sloppy goal; our captain saved us on Saturday but he cost us with that one, and we’re controlling the game after that but a punt into our half allowed their lad go through, and it’s shocking play from our two central defenders there.”

The Millers lost Josh Morris to injury after all three changes had already been made, and they struggled to create anything as the Chairboys hung on to claim the vital victory.

“We go down to 10 men which makes it an absolute monster hill and they’re wasting time at every opportunity which I can’t blame them for at all. We never made a chance to win the game in the second half, and never made their ‘keeper make a save,” added Evans.
