Steve Evans talks to Millers Player...
Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has a doubt over midfield enforcer Kari Arnason ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Dagenham and Redbridge. The Iceland international fell awkwardly on his shoulder in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Fleetwood Town, and a late decision is expected on his availability.
Evans also has a dilemma on the right side of midfield after Jamie Devitt was sent back to Hull with a hamstring injury. Today’s loan signing of Luke Rooney means the Millers boss must decide whether to throw him into the starting 11, or look towards other options he has at his disposal.
“He (Rooney) is in the squad I have named for Dagenham and I will decide in the morning whether he starts or sits alongside me for a while,” he told www.themillers.co.uk earlier this afternoon.
On the prospect of Arnason being involved Evans told Millers Player yesterday:
“We are waiting on the results of his scan, he is obviously sore so he is a doubt for the weekend.
“It isn’t good news on the injury front but I don’t want to concentrate on that, I want to concentrate on the players we have available.”
There will be full live commentary on the game on Millers Player. Coverage from 2.55pm.
