With the New York Stadium set to throw open its doors tomorrow, Chairman Tony Stewart is urging the people of Rotherham to be a part of the historic move.

With a surge in season ticket sales in the week leading up the inaugural game at the iconic new venue, and more expected in the coming weeks after fans have experienced New York, Stewart is encouraging everyone to help the club make history.

"When will an event like this ever happen again" said Tony. "It's a once in a lifetime event for a club to move into a brand-new home, and when your children and grandchildren are claiming their seats for the stadium in years to come, wouldn't it be fantastic to tell them that you were there for the first ever season."

"This is a momentous occasion, and one that will never be matched."

Tickets have already sold out for the game against Championship side Barnsley, but there are some remaining for the following friendlies which will see Heart of Midlothian, Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield United all visit the New York Stadium.
