Steve Evans speaks to www.themillers.co.uk and confirms a friendly with League One Oldham Athletic

Steve Evans' men will return to pre-season action tomorrow when they face League One side Oldham Athletic.

The match against Paul Dickov's Latics will take place in the Algarve with a 10.30am kick-off.

Both managers have confirmed that the match is vital as they both prepare there teams for the new season.

Our official website, www.themillers.co.uk, will be covering the match and will bring you a report on the action so you can keep fully up to speed as the Millers take on the League One outfit.

Speaking from the Algarve in the last few minutes the Millers boss said: ''Our match with Oldham Athletic will take the lads another long way forward in their own respective pre-season targets.

''The lads fitness levels are improving rapidly now and I must say they have worked as hard as any squad we have worked with. This trip has been outstanding so far given the quality of work we have been able to get into them.

''It was imperative that we came away and I can only once again thank my Chairman Tony Stewart for allowing us to come to a place like this. The facilities are wonderful and when you get treated like this then you simply have no excuses.

''We have worked the lads two or three times every day and we will be working them at 7.30am in the morning before they have a wee rest ahead of the match with Oldham Athletic.

''Every player on the trip apart from Dale Tonge and Michael O'Connor will play a part in the match. Both those lads are working incredibly hard but we are not going to be taking risks with any player who is not 100%. I want us to have a real work ethic in the match and if we have that it will have been what we are looking to get out the game.''
