Rotherham United Football Club joined forces with Rotherham Investment and Development Office

Rotherham United Football Club joined forces with Rotherham Investment and Development Office to host a networking event for businesses across the borough.

The free event provided businesses with the opportunity to find out more information about the Millers 1925 Club and to meet the RIDO team and discover how both organisations are working to grow business in Rotherham.

Rotherham United Chairman Tony Stewart attended the event along with Manager Steve Evans. Tony outlined future plans for the Millers and encouraged delegates to be part of the success by joining the 1925 Club.

The 1925 Club at the £20m New York Stadium heralds a new era in matchday experiences with world-class facilities, fabulous dining options and the best seats in the house.

Platinum, Gold and Silver packages for the 1925 Club offer the best seats in the house, and exceptional value for money with access to every home game, lounge, bar and restaurant facilities, VIP parking and providing businesses with unrivalled networking opportunities.

Tony Stewart, chairman, Rotherham United, said: "The 1925 Club provides a unique opportunity for businesses across the region to be part of a new exciting era.

"Our beautifully designed stadium will undoubtedly be a fabulous sporting venue, an iconic emblem for South Yorkshire, but the centrepiece is the stunning 1925 Club.

"Every detail has been designed to make matchdays at the New York Stadium as special as possible, whether it is for entertaining business clients, rewarding staff or simply relaxing and enjoying the game.

"The response from local businesses has fantastic and they have all acknowledged the benefits that being a member of the 1925 Club can bring. It really is going to be the place to be on a matchday and I am very much looking forward to seeing the crème de la crème of the region's businesses enjoying the outstanding facilities that the 1925 Club at the New York Stadium will offer.

Paul Woodcock, Director of Planning and Regeneration at Rotherham Borough Council, said: "We were delighted to co-host the networking event with Rotherham United as we are both working towards the same aim of regenerating the town. The New York Stadium is magnificent and I am sure will generate increased business across the borough.
