Gareth leaves Millers

31 December 2012

Gareth Evans leaves Rotherham United...

Gareth Evans has left Rotherham United by mutual consent.

The winger has been released from his contract and is now a free agent.

Evans joined the Millers in 2011 and made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals, but has found first-team opportunities limited in recent months.

“Gareth is a real good professional and deserves to be playing football but given the strength of our current squad, added to what we’ll do in January it was best for all if he was allowed progress his career somewhere else,” Steve Evans told www.themillers.co.uk

“Everyone at the club would like to thank Gareth for his efforts and wish him well for the future.”
