Christmas farewell for Extra Time

19 December 2012

The guys who came down to the final Extra Time session of 2012 were treated to New York stadium tour and a Christmas feast.

The Extra Time programme has now run its course. The sessions started back on October 15th 2012 and officially finished Monday, 17th December 2012, with a Christmas send off

The day started with the regular participants being treated to a tour of the New York stadium. Once they had enjoyed the sights of the Millers’ ground, the group made its way back to their corner of the stadium for its own Christmas meal.

It was then time for the group to discuss their best memories over the whole period of the Extra Time sessions. They also got a chance to dive into the mince pies, sandwiches and plenty of other food options that each member of the group brought in.

Heritage Officer Kathryn Wild said: “It was such a great way to finish off our Extra Time sessions. It has been a pleasure to work with every person who has attended the sessions throughout the project. It is a shame that they are coming to a close but it was amazing to see so many faces show up on a Monday. I really hope that we do get this project extended into the New Year because it would mean so much to the guys here today.”

The RUCST is looking to start the sessions again in the New Year because of how successful they were. We are also looking to add ICT skills into the sessions.
