Futsal Scholarship Trial Event at EIS and Open Evening at New York Stadium
The new season is now under way but the Rotherham United Community Sports Trust Education Academy is still recruiting for young male players between the ages of 16-18 to participate in the NEW Futsal scholarship.
This is fantastic opportunity for young aspiring players to develop their skills, ability and overall fitness. Futsal is a fast paced small sided game and perfect for developing players awareness on and off the ball, ball control, confidence, shooting and teamwork which are all transferable skills to the 11 a-side game. Not only do you get to be part of the club you also have the opportunity to gain knowledge in physiotherapy, fitness testing, diet and nutrition and above all you will gain over a two year period a Level 3 Extended BTEC National Diploma in Sport (Equivalent to 3 A levels). This is a great chance for young players to train and live life like a professional on the NEW Futsal Scholarship here at Rotherham United.
After a great friendly against Sheffield United Futsal Development squad we are now looking to build and strengthen our squad with more young talented players who would relish in the latest player development opportunity in Rotherham and South Yorkshire.
