Steve Evans previews the pre-season friendly against Mansfield Town.

Steve Evans has included two members of the Rotherham United youth team in his 22-man squad for tomorrow’s pre-season friendly at Mansfield Town.

The unnamed duo have been added to the squad as the Millers prepare for the big kick-off against Hull City in just eight days time.

Boss Evans remained tight-lipped over his team for tomorrow’s 3pm kick off at Field Mill but did reveal that he was going to ‘mix and match’ his side, with a clash against Steve Bruce’s Tigers firmly on the horizon.

“Tomorrow’s game isn’t really about the result, it is about game time for some of the lads ahead of the game against Hull next weekend,” Evans told www.themillers.co.uk

“Of course we want to do well and win the game but we are very close to the big kick-off and it is important that we have everyone ready for what will be a tough game.

“We are going to mix and match the team, and we have got a couple of the younger lads who have impressed me involved, and we are expecting a stern test from a very good Mansfield side.”

The Millers are in action again on Tuesday night when they travel to Stamford AFC, kick off 7.45pm.
