Steve Evans previews the visit of Bradford City on Millers Player...
Boss Steve Evans is expecting another tough encounter as his side get set for the visit of Bradford City tomorrow afternoon.
The Bantams arrive at New York in fourth position in League Two after Phil Parkinson’s side demolished AFC Wimbledon 5-1 last weekend, followed by a Capital One Cup victory over Championship side Watford.
Speaking to Millers Player yesterday Evans admitted he expects his side to have a tough examination against a side he believes will finish the season in the top three.
“They are strong all over,” said Evans.
“I think everyone will look to their midfield area, to the boy Jones and the boy Doyle who are two top players.
“We had young Nathan (Doyle) down here for a chat but we couldn’t afford his jacket! They also have Garry Thompson who joined them from Scunthorpe, he was another we thought we had signed but then we didn’t.
“They have a good squad of players, they are big and strong and they won’t overplay. I think that they will certainly be in the top three at the end of the season, this will be a really tough battle on Saturday.”
