Millers maintain unbeaten start...

Rotherham United maintained their unbeaten start to the Youth Alliance League as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with current champions Mansfield Town.

Substitute Tyrone Lewthwaite’s reply saw a spirited performance from Garreth Barker’s youngsters end with a share of the spoils for both sides and mean the Millers’ losses column remained unpopulated.

The Millers’ impeccable record looked in danger when Lewis Gibbens headed the Stags in front on 23 minutes but Lewthwaite rescued a point with a calmly taken finish from close range just six minutes from time.

Lewis Murr and Joshua Kayode also threatened for the visitors but were denied by some good defending and some astute goalkeeping from Xavier Sundby in the hosts’ goal.
